Patrons of Okeene,
I apologize in advance for the parking inconvenience at the sports complex. We are putting a sealant across most of the parking lot areas, and will not be able to utilize our parking lots for tonight's scrimmage. This project will be completed this week and full access to all parking areas will be available on Monday, August 24th barring any unforeseen circumstances.
With this being said we will be parking patrons in the grass west of the main parking lot and on the grass on the north side of the gymnasium. We will reserve handicap accessible parking on the west side of the indoor facility and we will reserve parking for our elderly citizens directly across from the handicap reserved area. Parking attendants will be on site to assist with parking. Again, we apologize for this inconvenience.
Respectfully,
Mike Jinkens

A note from Mr. Parker, JH/HS Principal:
Students and Parents/Guardians,
We are excited to welcome you back to school! A few things I would like to mention as we begin the new school year:
The doors to the JH/HS building will open at 7:45 am. Students that come on the Jet bus will be able to go to the cafeteria until the doors open.
Students are to report to the main building or cafeteria upon arrival.
First bell rings at 8:05. Tardy bell rings at 8:10. Students that arrive after 8:10 MUST check-in with Mrs. Paula Burkes in the office.
School dismisses at 3:30.
Cell phones, earbuds, smart watches, etc. must be checked into our device lockers as usual. If your student needs to reach you, or you need to reach your student, the school phone can be used. That number is (580) 852-3281.
Please remember that we have a dress code at Timberlake. That can be found on our website:

I am honored and excited to start my 27th year in education and my 1st year as principal at Timberlake JH/HS. With all the work our staff has put in over the summer, and especially the last few days, I am confident we will have a GREAT YEAR!! I am always available to visit with you about any questions and concerns you may have. Please feel free to email, call or stop by at anytime.
-Upon arrival at the JH/HS, parents need to begin lining up in the multipurpose parking lot facing north
-The first parent in line needs to park so that they can see the buses as them make the turn between the gym and school
-Once the 2 Jet buses make that turn east, parents need to stay in line and pull up to begin picking up students
- 2 vehicles at a time need to pull off the road and park safely behind the buses facing north
-Once both vehicles are loaded, vehicles can pull off traveling North on Hinkley OR West on 6th street
I know this is a big change but it will run smoothly as everyone adjusts and more importantly, it will be much safer for our students.
Thanks for your cooperation and we look forward to getting another great year started tomorrow!
